Meet my friend, Matt Frolich He likes to jump off mountains, radio antennas, skyscrapers, caves, and occasionaly the boring airplane. Skydivers and base jumpers have obvious adrenaline issues, but manage to keep a meticulous count of how many jumps they complete. Matt is closing in on 1000. 1000!!! He spends more time free falling through Earth's gravity than I'll spend my life in the bathroom! In my circle of friends, Matt is easily the one with the biggest set of balls. I'd love to skydive one day, but for now I'll stay behind the camera. 08.20.10 |

Desert Heat Seems like I just met Rokhsan "Roxie" Shafiei, and she's already in front of my camera making bombs go off. This was a personal project we threw together. Don't be worried for Roxie surviving WWIII, shortly after the shoot we grabbed sushi and talked about tattoos, brilliant. BIG thanks to Roxie's sister Nabaht for doing the make-up! Sorry I couldn't get your Diva Special soy olay with sugar free vanilla and original flavor Sun Chips lol. Maybe on our next doomsday photoshoot! 08.16.10 |

52 MPH …on 2 wheels, without an engine, and on a flat surface. Unless you consider your legs an engine, then Ashley Knights Jr. is the Pagani Zonda of the bike world. Normally a person would hop in a car to go the National speed limit of 55, Ashley just does it with a 15lb carbon fiber bike and 2 (very) powerful tattoo-clad legs. Ashley had just reached Cat 1, now aiming to ride internationally in the next year, and what better way to get extra attention than eye-opening pictures? Click over to the SPORTS page for the high-res version of this shot. 07.15.10 |

Featured: Advanced Photoshop Be sure to pick up issue #71 of Advanced Photoshop magazine. Why? Because I'm in it! Fortunately I'm gracing the lead-in image of the "Photoshop for Photographers" feature. Truly a humbling accomplishment. I have been an avid reader of this magazine for years. Oh yea and because of this, my rates have tripled. Just kidding... or am I? 06.22.10 |

Team Bahati Introducing the Bahati Foundation pro cycling team. I was fortunate enough to shoot a team that boasts such great names as Rahsaan Bahati (The most accomplished African-American cyclist in the world), Floyd Landis, Nathan O'Neill, Hilton Clarke, and many other notables. Despite their tight schedule and rigourous training, we were able to fit in a 1hr photoshoot in the Malibu canyons. Unfortunately weeks after the photoshoot, a friend and team rider, Jorge Alvarado was tragically killed during a training ride. You will be greatly missed. RIP. Ride strong Team Bahati! 03.29.10 |

2010 National Coach of the Year When I heard my high school baseball coach was awarded the 2010 National Coach of the Year, I wasn’t shocked. Coach Dean Jones has been a mentor for every player in a Chesnee Eagles uniform for the past 47 years of being head coach. Not only was coaching his job, it was his way of life. With that kind of history, a kid being coached doesn't even think of questioning his logic. Simply put, Coach Jones could coach a team just by putting his arms on his hips. It was the least I could do to fly to SC to give back a photoshoot. 03.16.10 |

Trail Blazing Since my recent departure from Source Interlink, my fortunes have been very bright. I'm still learning a lot, meeting great people, catching up on projects, taking on new ones... and not to mention sleeping in a little more since I don't have a regular commute! One of my more recent projects is a photoshoot with Rudy Napolitano, a professional cyclist. I'm an avid biker myself so this shoot was a lot of fun. Rudy chose the location and I'll certainly be back again. A 1-way desolate canyon road overlooking the Pacific Ocean? AMAZING! Enjoy the pics in the SPORTS section and visit often, much more frequent updates are on the way! 03.03.10 |

A Look Back, A Step Foward Since 2006 I have been under employment with Primedia/Source Interlink Media, the publisher of such great titles as Motor Trend, Sport Compact Car, Honda Tuning, Turbo, Lowrider, Import Tuner, and many many many more. My job was Art Director for all the magazines you see on the right. That involved designing the magazine from front to back, from insomnia-inducing covers to 10-second advertising indexes. Had a lot of great memories and friends, but I've decided to take the leap into the great unknown and start my own business. It's been an idea I've had for quite a while, and now I know I'm ready to make the jump. Watch out LA!!! 02.05.10 |

M.O.E. Flashy cars, even flashier chains, Michael Jordan Space Jams, and the lifestyle of rap group Money Ova Everything. Maybe one day I'll be rollin' in an S-Class Benz or Range Rover on 30's, but till then I'm fine snapping pictures of my future possessions… Well maybe I can deal without the flashy chains lol. 01.10.10 |

The Great Recession In lieu of the recent economic downturn, Clinton and I teamed up yet again to do a shoot with a 1930's theme. Considering the building I live in was built in 1912, and retains a lot of the original architecture, it would be the perfect location for the shoot. This was a fun personal project for both Clinton and I, and yes, he survived the fall from the roof... too bad, he's about my size and I like his jacket! Lyz...WOW! Once Lyz spotted my array of video game consoles, she started chatting about "what video games do you like?" and "do you play WOW (World of Warcraft)? I was in shock! Not only is a GIRL into video games, but a MODEL that is into THE most time-consuming, acne-inducing, college-ruining game in existance! Personally I don't play WOW, because I know how addictive it could be. It's always a mystery what each model I shoot has in store. An extreme pleasure meeting Lyz and pulling together a fun shoot. Again check out my PEOPLE section for the high-res, and my BLOG for more info about this shoot. 09.18.09 |

LA on Fire Enjoy the sights from the rooftop of my new loft in downtown LA. Those aren't clouds, that's the San Fernando Valley getting smothered by ash. There's a downside to having perfect non-rainy weather everyday in SoCal, and you're looking at it. The terrain get's so dry, a simple spark can set off a raging 1,000+ acre fire. Luckily the wind is playing in my favor and my lungs get to breath the natural pollutated air of LA instead of thick burnt ash. 08.29.09 |

Jolin Barot My first shoot in my new place in downtown LA. And many more to come! This is Jolin, an aspiring model living in Long Beach. He wanted some classy urban shots for his portfolio so what better place to shoot than the marble-clad lobby of The Chapman? Click over to the PEOPLE section for more of this series 08.26.09 |

Chelsea Knights Next on my short list of models is the young and very talented Chelsea Knights. This was our first shoot, and conveniently, she lives just a few minutes away from me in lovely Long Beach, so this shoot acted more as an ice-breaker. What was planned as an elaborate on-location shoot turned into a quick session behind my place in the alley of Belmont Shore! Not such a bad location, but expect to see Chelsea in front of my lens again very soon! 07.07.09 |

New Logo, New Cards I thought my old logo could use a little freshening up. Something simple and clean. Matte black finish, spot-UV coating on both sides, and a makeshift signature box I thought of to jot down random notes. I think they came out pretty nice! 05.28.09 |

Russian Roulette Another weekend, another shoot. Thanks to Tanisha at Lowrider GIRLS, she requested Allen, an up and coming model to get in front of my camera. I'll be honest, I wasn't totally sure what I was going to do with this shoot, but it evolved into something pretty cool. Allen is Russian, with a rough David Beckham-isque look (is that possible?), sans the tattoos. I thought he would look fitting in a run-down industrial surrounding. Clinton Thompson is an employee at Abercrombie and Fitch. Clinton Thompson's everyday outfit usually consists of a bright pastel polo with plaid shorts and sandals, courtesy (of course) from AandF. Easily one of the nicest guys I know. NOT a pavement-ripping beast that tears up downtown Los Angeles. But that was the challenge I was going for. Turning somebody who they're really not, into something totally different. This shot is a compilation of about 8 different photos. No streets were harmed in the making of this image. Vacation: Charleston, SC Back to the South, where I was born and raised. Sometimes nothing soothes the mind better than old friends, family, and sweet tea. Even better if you're sharing it with someone special. Be sure to visit the Mellow Mushroom on King St. for the best pizza ever, Bessigner's on Hwy 17 for the best BBQ ever, and the Blind Tiger Pub on Broad St. for the best spirts ever. 03.23.09 |
